Primate Ayodele: APC Will Take Over Bayelsa State In 2016, Except…

Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele is the founder and spiritual head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church. In this interview with select journalists, he released prophecies for 2016.
As 2015 comes to an end, what do you foresee in 2016?

I see Saudi Arabia being attacked by terrorists. I see that Ebola is still very much around Africa. Coca Cola will rebrand and must pray against fire outbreak. Political enemies will disorganise the Bayelsa State governor so that his second term bid can crumble. But if Governor Dickson seeks the face of God and work very hard, he will win a second term. But if he relaxes, the APC candidate will shock him. Let us pray against attacks on our pipelines.

But you reportedly said during the last general elections that the PDP will not win some core northern states?

I do not understand what you are talking about. But what God made me to see on that issue, I shared it on

Shocking: Two Nigerian Pilgrims Absconds In Isreal

Nazareth (Israel) – Two members of the Plateau pilgrimage contingent are missing, the Acting Secretary of the state Pilgrims Board, Mrs Hassana Ayika, has confirmed.

Ayika in Nazareth, Israel, on Wednesday said that the two persons, a man and a woman, were said to have gone missing at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Ayika said the roommates of the missing persons reported that they woke up in the night and did not find them on their beds which suggested that they might have absconded.

She said that the matter had been reported to the Israeli authorities through the Nigerian Embassy and that efforts were being made to track and repatriate them.

She further said that their guarantors would be punished accordingly as they would be made to bear the cost

of sending them back to Nigeria.

Ayika explained that the escapees were not Plateau indigenes but from other states and were fortunate to have enjoyed the sponsorship of the state government.

She said that it was in the character of the state government to welcome “strangers’’ residing in the state and extend kind gestures to them.

“It is not the first time that the Plateau Government is sponsoring non-indigenes but it is unfortunate that this kindness is being abused.

“By what this people have done, we have broken the law of the State of Israel and their guarantors will be punished appropriately,’’ she said.

Kogi Primary: Bello May Likely Replace Audu

Alhaji Yahaya Bello, who came second to the late Prince Abubakar Audu in the All Progressives Congress’ [APC] governorship primaries last month, is likely to be nominated as the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the supplementary polls slated for next week, Daily Trust learnt from reliable party sources in Abuja last night.

The Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] has given APC up to December 1 to nominate a replacement for Audu, who died on Sunday shortly after the election was declared inconclusive.

Even though APC’s national chairman Chief John Odigie-Oyegun said on Tuesday that the party would organize new primaries to pick a replacement for Audu, Daily Trust learnt that party leaders do not intend to hold new primaries and would only make a “substitution.”
Party leaders say this is in line with the letter of the Electoral Act, which says a party would be allowed to

My Husband Has Idolised Me And Now I'm Fed Up I Need Help Please

From a reader:

I had to create a new account just to post this as it's quite sensitive. It's quite lengthy too but I'll be brief. I need mature and friendly advice from people here.

When I first met my husband, it was in a library. We talked briefly and we became close. I have had past relationships in my life so I was careful as possible. I realized that he had no past relationship. He was a typical virgin and was new and I was his first girlfriend. So I felt comfortable with him. He was so kind and loving so I agreed to marry him.

Now it has gotten worse. Every time he does anything I want without asking questions. At first I enjoyed it but now I'm starting to worry about him as it's getting out of hand. He does not display any act of manliness in the house. He behaves like my puppet or my foot stool. The other day he was watching the soccer game and I just jokingly mentioned how boring it was and I would prefer the faith channel. He changed the channel

“When the vehicle was searched, ten live and one dead goats suspected to have been stolen were found inside the car booth.”

Kalu said that the car was subsequently impounded and the goats recovered, adding that investigation has commenced to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

In a related development, the police in the state have also recovered arms and ammunition from suspected armed robbers who abandoned their vehicle and fled after police bursted a robbery operation in Warri.

The police spokeswoman said the incident happened on August 17, 2015 after a police patrol team attached to Ugborikoko Division received a distress call that a gang of armed robbers was operating along NNPC Housing Complex road, Warri.

Woman Caught Her Pastor Husband Having Sex With Another Woman In Their Church

A 42-year-old housewife, Mrs Doris Oseni, has told a Customary Court in Ondo town that she caught her husband of 12 years, Prophet Femi Oseni, on the floor of the church office, having sex with another woman.

The woman, who is also an Evangelist, therefore asked the court to dissolve her marriage on the ground of adultery, desertion and lack of love on the part of the husband .

The petitioner said her husband’s behaviour towards her changed after seven years of their marriage with no child, adding that since then, the defendant had been sleeping around with different women, most of whom were members of his congregation.

She added that after several days of abandoning her, she traced her husband to his church in a village not far from Ondo town.

She claimed that on getting there, she met her husband on the floor of the church office with one of the women in the church having sex.
She added that she reported her husband’s strange behaviour to his mother but that did not stop him from the alleged adulterous acts.

As a result of this she said she was fed up of the relationship, praying the court to separate them.

Doris also accused the husband of having a child out of wedlock, who she said was a product of his extra-marital affairs.

The 45-year-old Oseni pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage, saying he still loved the woman, whom he described as a virtuous woman that had been taking care of him since he married her.

In his ruling the President of the Court, Joshua Adunbi, said the words and body language of the wife had shown that she was tired of the union, therefore ordered for the dissolution of the marriage.

Adunbi added that both parties were free to re-marry any person of their choice and ordered the petitioner to pay the sum of N2,500 to the respondent as a refund of dowry.

He however noted that anyone of the parties that was not satisfied with the decision of the court could appeal the ruling within 30 days.

Wife Shocking Confession That Ended Her Marriage Of 5years

It was a sad end between a couple simply identified as Ogene and Rita (surnames withheld) after Rita confessed to Ogene that she could not bear him any child because her womb was damaged during abortion when she was in secondary school in Onitsha town in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria.

Dinformants gathered that the confession was made five years after they contracted traditional marriage and wedded in an Anglican Church in Umuchu, Aguata in Anambra State.

The husband subsequently sent her away for hiding such information from him after their traditional and church marriage.
Dinformants findings revealed that Ogene is a trader at Head Bridge market in Onitsha and resides in Iyiowa Odekpe in Atani Local Government, a few kilometres to Onitsha urban where he plies his trade.

Their relationship started when Ogene met Rita in the area and proposed to marry her. She accepted and
there was formal introduction between the families.

They did their traditional wedding in Rita’s village in Imo State and proceeded to Ogene’s village in Umuchu where they did their church wedding.

According to Dinformants sources, throughout the period the relationship started and ended in marriage, Rita did not tell Ogene that she lost her womb due to abortion.

When Rita did not get pregnant after years of their marriage, they started looking for medical solution to no avail. This cost Ogene huge sums of money.

After the failed medical solution, they decided to embark on spiritual solution which led Rita to meet a pastor to whom she revealed her predicament on why she was unable to get pregnant, Dinformants was told.

The pastor advised her to embark on fasting and prayers and ask God for forgiveness.

The pastor told her that after the prayers she should go to her husband and confess and ask for forgiveness.
The pastor assured her that with the prayers, her husband would forgive her and would still take her as his wife.
Based on the assurance of the pastor, after the fasting and prayers, Rita went to Ogene and narrated her sad story.

Dinformants gathered that Rita confessed to Ogene that she got pregnant when she was in secondary school and to cover the shame, she secretly went for abortion.

She narrated that during the abortion, there was complication which affected her womb and damaged it.
She told him that after the abortion, she had not been able to conceive and she was afraid to tell him before they got married because she did not want to lose him.

She pleaded for forgiveness and asked him to think and decide her fate in the marriage.
The embittered husband told her that there was nothing to think concerning their marriage since she concealed such serious information from him and subjected him to wasting huge sums of money on medical treatment.

He told her that there was no marriage in the first instance between them because she lied to him.
He asked her to pack her things and leave his house.

She left dejected because the advice by the pastor was counter-productive.

Ogene subsequently went to the Anglican Church marriage counsel in Awka and sought for the dissolution of the marriage.
And the church granted his request.

Story from our Reader: My Fiancee Dumped Me Because I Was Poor, Now She Wants Me Back

My name is Nnamdi Okafor and I have a story to share with your readers, hoping they will advice me accordingly.

Five years ago, I was struggling to set up my business after serving a man for seven years. I have always been one who looks at the bright side of life and knew that things would turn out for the better.

At that time, I had a girlfriend, Ifeoma, whom I loved with all of my heart but I could not afford to give her the good things of life she desired. I kept pleading with her to be patient and to assure her of my love, I proposed marriage to her and she accepted.

But along the line, Ifeoma could no longer cope with my poverty and told me in plain terms that she was
moving on. She left me in the lurch and even told me to my face that I had no future.

Few months later, I heard that she became the second wife of a rich man.

I was so hurt and almost gave up but with my faith in God, I stuck in and vowed to work harder and make it in life. As God would have it, I met a Chinese man who wanted to bring in some tricycles into Nigeria and we went into partners and, to cut the story, things changed for the better and I can say now that God has blessed me so much that I own three thriving companies and I now have a 'future'.

But about six months ago, Ify came out from the blues and traced me to my office. There, she begged and cried for me to take her back, saying she has realised her mistakes and wants to make ammends.

I am confused here. As much as I want to be free from her, I still remember the love I had for her and at times, I am tempted to allow her into my life again. But my whole family is against that and they have made it known they would not accept her.

What should I do?

7 Reasons Why People Refuse Going to Church

Back in the early 1990's when Christianity was dominating others forms of religion, a lot of people flock to church. But those numbers seems to reduce over the years. The reasons are put below, though some are assertions.
1. CHURCH ARE FULL OF HYPOCRITE.
No need to debate on this fact as its all clear and decipherable. Perhaps, even in-eradicable. We all say one thing and do the other, we all criticize people and still turn around to indulge in the same acts we were vehemently against. The church is full of this set of people, thus making people lack the desire to go to church. Yes.. I am an hypocrite, but with all due respect, you are also an hypocrite.
2. THE CHURCH IS BORING.
You could chose to debate on this. Since when was the church meant to be entertaining?. Well! The church has witness a dramatically change over the years, and to some people, this assertion is true.
3. THE CHURCH IS EXCLUSIVE.
The church has an exclusive message, which is for everyone. The thing is, every one knows the message, "Jesus brings salvation" etc. So why bothering going to church to hear a repetition of it?. This is also one of the reason why people stay back from church, to them, they know the message the bible and church is relaying.
4. THEY DON'T HAVE TIME.
This is undoubtedly any major point. Simple, they don't have the time or are two busy. People who are on work shift during the weekend also fall into this category. This is priority issue, but a valid reason nonetheless.
5. THEY DON'T HAVE CLOTHES.
Though this shouldn't be an excuse for Christians to stay back from church as they worship the Lord and not men, it is a reason why some people stay back from church.
I know of a church that laughs at members that repeat clothes and attire. The act alone is appalling. Instead of being laughed at, some people choose to stay at home and avert such mortification.
6. LIFE IS BETTER WITHOUT RELIGION.
This is an assertion but With that perspective, people tend to neglect church since its the "pillar" of religion. Going by the norms and commandments of the church by being a Christian are hectic for others. For me, i don't care much about religion but a better relationship with God. Some people that neglect church also hold to this assertion.
7.THE CHURCH WANT YOUR MONEY.
This is undoubtedly another congent reason. If you go to a church that talks more about offering and ransom than sermon, you'd found this a valid point. Maybe the church is faced with financial difficulties.
I think The Leaders should do more about praying and trusting, for God will provide.
However, am ain't advocating that members shouldn't give to the church but It appalling for leaders to "CHALLENGE" members into giving, it should be a thing of the mind.
If you have a different perception of the amazing nature of the God who created you, you should find ways to reorganize your priorities around such a wonderful God.

The matter was reported to the police and Paul was arrested and charged to court for the alleged offence.
He was charged with causing permanent defect to Faith’s eyes and assault under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty and the prosecutor, Mr Femi Adeleye, objected to his bail on the ground that Faith will be undergoing operation which could result in more complications.

He prayed the court to remand Uduozor in prison custody pending the outcome of the operation.
However, the presiding Magistrate, Mr A. A. Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.

VISA Scam: Mountain of Fire Pastor Lands in Prison

A Pastor of the Mountain of Fire Ministry, Yaba headquarters, (Mrs) Joy Tongo has been charged before Isolo Magistrates’ court and remanded in prison for her alleged involvement in a visa scandal in Lagos State.

Tongo allegedly defrauded Stanley Dim under the false pretence of procuring him a Chinese visa for missionary journey, PM News reports.

The victim said he met Tongo at the church headquarters in Yaba and she promised to link him with her partner in China for missionary journey.

She also told Dim that he could stay back there and earn a living.

Tongo allegedly told him that he will pay N300,000 for the procurement of visa and other necessary documents for the trip.

Dim, who did not suspect any foul play, gave her the money and she promised to get back to him with the visa, a day before the journey.
Tongo allegedly failed to deliver the visa on the day she promised Dim. The travel period also elapsed and there was no alternative arrangement for the trip to China.

When Dim contacted Tongo, she said the journey had been postponed and it will be for another date.

After days passed and promises failed, Dim demanded for his money back which Tongo refused to pay.

She claimed that she had used the money to obtain forms for his travel documents.

The matter was reported at Alakara police division and Tongo was arrested and charged to court.

She was charged with obtaining under false pretence and stealing, under the Criminal Code.

Tongo pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Joy Ugbomoiko, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail.

The matter was adjourned till 5th September, 2015.

Remembering Late Samuel S. Okwaraji Nigeria`s Most Legendary Footballer

There is no way one will tell the story of SAMUEL SOCHUKWUMA OKWARAJI without feeling the pain of the loss gnawing at your heart, and as your head swells with patriotic pride, your lacrimal glands conspire to betray you. For millions of Nigerians, the most fabled soccer player is none other than this gentleman. Many grew up listening to incredibly woven and mesmerizing story of how he gave up the ghost while Nigeria was playing against India.

After Nigeria had defeated India by a world-record-breaking 99-0, and were on the verge of making it 100-0 and completing the humiliating defeat of the Hindus, they decided to summon their magical powers. Then the horror started. Within a matter of seconds, the Indian goalkeeper transformed into a lion and the football turned into a rock-hard stone, both of which were visible only to Okwaraji.

But Okwaraji was unrelenting, he wanted to score. Then he kicked the ball of stone. Well, you know the rest of the fantastic lore. Whoever came up with such a brutally false but imaginative story deserves more than 99 knocks. On the other hand, the story and the circumstances of his death turned Samuel Okwaraji into the most fabled footballer in Nigerian history. It's been almost 24 years now since he slumped and died while proudly representing our dear nation. I am sure I am not the only one missing the footballing genius from Umudioka community. This piece is in his honour and memory. For the labours of our heroes past shall not be in vain...

BIRTH AND EARLY DAYS
Sam was born on the 19th of May, 1964 in Umudioka Orlu, Orlu Local Government Area, Imo State, Southeastern Nigeria. His father, Mr. David Okwaraji worked with the defunct Nigeria Airways as a Duty Officer with the mother, Lady Janet Okwaraji being a retired school headmistress. Both met at Port Harcourt, Rivers State where he was working as a Produce Examiner at the Produce Board and courted for about 3 or 4 years before marriage in 1950 and had seven kids. They lived together for just nine years before the Nigerian Civil War broke out during which he died, five boys, two girls. Sam was second to the last.

According to his mother, Sam had a very active childhood and played various games while growing up. Football was one of them while table tennis was another. However, he seemed to enjoy football more. His mum stated that he was quite hardworking right from primary school and because he was quite intelligent, he was jumping classes, and according to her, he was the most intelligent of all her children. But unfortunately, he lost his father at a young age, even before he was admitted into secondary school.

SCHOOLING
-He attended WTC Practicing School, Enugu for his primary education then proceeded to Ezeachi Secondary School, Orlu, Imo State. Later, he went to Federal Government College, Orlu where he was with the very first set admitted and had a brilliant academic performance there. A serious-minded chap, he bagged both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in International Law, and yes, he could speak five languages -English, German, Italian, Spanish and of course, his native Igbo. Give it to him, he was an intellectual giant -flawlessly combining academic rigours with footballing talents. According to his mother, Sam could be a lawyer and a footballer at the same time but he believed playing was a better career path for him. Sorry, lawyers...lol

FOOTBALL CAREER
A talented midfielder wearing the Number 6 jersey for Nigeria, Okwaraji had an eventful soccer career albeit a very short one. During the 1988 Nations Cup in Morocco, he blasted one of the fastest goals past the Cameroonian goalkeeper -all within 60 seconds! He was later named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) -twice.

His mother narrated how he got to start his footballing career: I was lucky to meet a friend of mine whose son was going to Europe. But I knew it would cost a lot of money to send children to Europe so I went to her and made enquiries after which she told me everything about it. I gathered the little money with me and asked if my son could also follow hers to Europe. I felt that he was so brilliant that letting him stay here was a waste of time. So I had to send him. (Abiyamo, o ku oro omo o...Olohun a je ki gbogbo ikunle Abiyamo jere wahala won o, a de nu omije Mama Samuel Okwaraji nu).

He passed his West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations with flying colours and got admission to the Sapienza University of Rome (Sapienza – Università di Roma) which is the largest European University by enrollment, is regularly ranked the best of universities in Italy and remains among the top 3% of universities in the world. Samuel Okwaraji studied law at this great citadel. Upon getting to Europe, it did not take a long time before he started displaying his soccer skills and was soon sported by football scouts and was promptly signed up in 1984 at the age of 20 by Associazione Sportiva Roma (AS Roma) a professional Italian football club in Rome, Italy. Over time, he would play for the following clubs too:

-NK Dinamo (Građanski Nogometni Klub Dinamo Zagreb), Zagreb, Croatia. Here, he scored a hat trick in one of his matches with NK Budućnost Hodošan (now NK Hodosan) on the 30th of April, 1986. Dinamo actually won the match 12-0!
-VfB Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.
-SSV-ULM 184
6: His last match for the club was on the 29th of May, 1988 under Klaus Toppmoller. The match was against FC St. Pauli.

Later, he would be recommended to play for the national team by the former chairman of the Nigerian Football Association, Group Captain John Obakpolor (rtd). His very good friend and footballer, David Ngodigha said of his late friend in an interview with SuperSports.com:

“When Sam was in Rome studying and playing for AS Roma, I knew him well. Also there was another friend of ours, Bismarck, who was in Italy playing football too though he didn’t make the headlines like Sam did.”

The Nigerian Football Association requested his release from SSV-ULM 1846, his club, so he could come and represent Nigeria in the match but his club refused demanding that NFA pay a sum of $45,000 in gating fees which they’d lose if Sam did not play for them. Group Captain John Obakpolor, then the NFA Chairman decided to broker a deal for $15,000.

When Sam heard that the club was charging his country, he was very angry and charged at his manager for making such demands. Then he left these indelible words in the ears of his manager:

‘I am a lawyer and you know and I signed to play football for certain conditions but I don’t think it included reselling my services to my country. You or your club cannot stop me from playing for my country. Let me tell you, I am going to represent my country whether you like it or not.‘

And with those words, he left for Nigeria, a land he loved so much and gave his all to. He was actually among the very first players to arrive Nigeria (not today that you will have to be begging some players with bloated egos, and I didn’t mention anyone’s name o so don’t quote Abiyamo! LOL!)

Okwaraji’s mother was not too anxious knowing what he meant by ‘coming to play for his country.’ She said: ‘I wasn’t very anxious to know what it is playing for a country means. I was just hearing it for the first time as he told me, playing for your country, what does it breed. By then, he would have been qualified as a lawyer. But coming to play for his country, well I don’t know…He was very keen, very serious, very anxious to play for his country. He said that Nigeria has never come into World Cup, world map, that he wanted to bring Nigeria to the world map and I said you yourself would bring Nigeria to the world map, I didn’t know what it meant then…..he wasn’t the only one invited, others were invited but didn’t go because they said Nigeria was not giving them anything, any money…but Sam uses his little money to come down to Nigeria, they don’t send them tickets….’ she said with obvious sadness written all over her motherly face, very close to tears. DEATH
On the 12th of August, 1989, while he was playing for Nigeria in a 2nd round World Cup Qualifier match (Group C, Italia World Cup) against Angola, Samuel Okwaraji slumped on the pitch and died immediately. It was 77 minutes into the match. Right there, in front of 20,000 Nigerians at the Main Bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, the Green Eagles were thrown into disarray while the Palancas Negras of Angola forgot the competition and joined in the futile attempts to revive him. His body was then taken to the National Stadium Clinic where he was covered up, and from there to the General Hospital.

The thousands of Nigerians who came to cheer him to glory left the stadium under a dark cloud of grief. Many would never forget that ominous day. It was just 10 minutes to the final whistle. Okwaraji was 25. Autopsy revealed he died from high blood pressure-induced congestive heart failure (which occurs when the heart is unable to provide sufficient pump action to ensure enough blood goes round the body). His heart was discovered to be enlarged -not a good sign in medicine. Okwaraji literally played his heart out for Nigeria. He had just signed a $500,000 contract with Berchem FC of Antwerp, Belgium.

BURIAL
Upon hearing the sad news on the 12th of August 1989, the entire Umudioka Community in Imo State was thrown into understandable sorrow and mourning. Umudioka had just lost one of its brightest stars. But you know, as the saying goes, there is no place like home. The saddened and bereaved people of the community came together and organized a most befitting burial for a true Nigerian hero. The Traditional Ruler of Umudioka, Igwe Solomon Nwafor Chukwunulu (Ezedioka I), now of blessed memory, co-ordinated a very impressive event which ensured that thousands of Umudioka children at home and abroad came home to honour one of their own. The Igwe was supported by other prominent figures in the community, like Chief A. N. Onyejegbu, the Ide of Umudioka, Chief Fidelis Ejiofor, the Ichie Ezeyim and many others.

LEGACY AND REMEMBRANCE
Millions of Nigerians mourned his passing with many musicians like General Kollington Ayinla and Oliver de Coque waxing songs in his honour. On the 12th of August, 2009, Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State unveiled a concrete bust of Samuel Okwaraji in the Rededicated Memorial Garden in his honour in front of the same stadium where he died. The structure is about 7ft high and is placed on marble but as at September 2012, the whole place was already overgrown with weeds and trees which obscure the bust from sight of passersby Yes, you gerrit, no maintenance. It was to mark the 20th anniversary of his passing. Governor Fashola said of him:‘Literally, Sam was ready to die for his country and I believe he demonstrated that before he died and by the circumstances leading to his death.’

In 2012, In Sammy Boots, a sports movie was made in his honour by 360 Degree Entertainment. The movie was specially made for children. Former NFA Chairman, Captain Obakpolor was so moved and touched by Okwaraji’s patriotism that he proposed that the 12th of August on which he died be made a National Patriotic Day. His mother today expresses her pain and agony, almost 24 years after:

That has been my pain all these years…they did not do anything to immortalize that boy…he gave his life, gave his money, gave his education…everything…for his country….he slumped at the National Stadium…if you go there now, you will his skull on the gate (referring to the bust), is that the way to immortalize him? They should re-immortalize him because

He deserves it because he is a hero, he is a patriot. That is what I want….they should immortalize him, there are various ways they can do it..at least naming the National Stadium itself after him….he has done more than all of those big men…

Policewoman Demoted For Having Sex Inside Car

The married woman, simply identified as Helen, was said to have been discovered making love with another man, who is not her husband inside her personal car during promotion exams exercise

A policewoman attached to the Lagos State Police Command has been demoted from the rank of a Sergeant to Corporal after she was caught having sex in her car.
The married woman, simply identified as Helen, was said to have been discovered making love with another man, who is not her husband inside her personal car.
The incident would have been swept under the carpet, but it became an issue because the mother of four indulged in the sexual escapade at the Ikeja Police College, where she and thousands of other policemen and women went for the ‘Sergeant to Inspector’ mandatory promotion course.
Rather than go back home and await her new rank of inspector, Helen left the training ground as a corporal.
According to a police source, the course was just for a month.
It started on June 24 and ended July 25.
All the trainees were warned not go out of the College or entertain any visitor during the examination, but Helen flouted the order.
The provost of the college, who warned that nobody should be seen after “light out” decided to carry out his usual security check around the College compound before turning in for the night.
He was, however, shocked to notice a car, with people inside.
He drew closer, beamed his torchlight and saw Helen and her partner stark Unclad, making love inside the car. They were ordered out of the car.

As soon as the provost started interrogating them, the man took to his heels and disappeared into the night.
The source added: “Helen said the man was her lover and that the car belonged to her.
“Nobody knew how the man came into the College.
“The provost was patrolling in the night on July 17 when he discovered the policewoman and her lover in the car, having sex.
“The car was parked in the dining hall area of the College.
“They were brought out Unclad from the car.
“The man initially claimed to be a policeman until the provost asked for his identity card.
“He pretended to be searching for it and fled.
“The policewoman later confessed that the man was her lover, not a policeman.”
Helen was demoted immediately.

Nigerian Prostitutes Election Turns Bloody In Lagos

According to our source, the 2015 election of National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, NANP was marred with violence. In the cause of the argument, fight broke out and one person believed to be loyal to Efoyo broke a bottle and stabbed one of their members.

Enugu Approves Three-week Paternity Leave

The Enugu State Government has amended its Civil Service rules to grant six months maternity leave to nursing mothers.

Interestingly, husbands whose wives might put to bed were also given a ‘paternity leave’, but it would only be for just three weeks.

The paternity leave was meant to give such husbands the opportunity to support their nursing wives, according to the state government.

Before, female workers who gave birth were entitled to three months maternity leave while the men whose wives delivered babies were not exempted from work.

Similarly, the state government also resolved that henceforth, nursing mothers were free to breast-feed their babies in offices during work hours.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sam Ngwu, who disclosed these in Enugu on Wednesday, said the new policy would strengthen the family as a social unit and also promote mother and child welfare.

Unveiling plans to mark the 2015 Breast Feeding Week in the state, Ngwu explained that the extension of the maternity leave would encourage nursing mothers in the state to engage in the internationally recommended four to six months exclusive breast feeding of newborn babies.

The commissioner, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Moses Otiji, noted that the state has been marking ‘’the Breast Feeding Week’’ every year in order to galvanise support for nursing mothers.

Ngwu further explained that the theme of this year’s Breast Feeding Week – ‘Breast feeding and work, let’s make it happen’, was in line with the state government’s commitment to the needs of nursing mothers and newborns.

He said nursing mothers should be allowed to continuously breast feed their babies anywhere they work, whether in the private or public sector.

According to him, lectures would be organised for nursing mothers in the course of the breast feeding week to enable them learn more about exclusive breast feeding.

“The week is dedicated to draw the attention of the public on the need for exclusive breast feeding.

“The breast contains yellow milk that contains most of the vital ingredients for healthy growth of the baby.

“It protects the baby from diseases and promotes bonding between mother and child,” he added.

It was learned that the victim, Saheed was attacked by hoodlums led by a one Emmanuel, on July 30, in front of Buffalo Hotel, located along Akerele Street in the Abule Egba area.

Anuoluwapo Saheed was allegedly stabbed while conversing and romancing the yet-to-be identified commercial sex worker at the gate of the hotel.
An eyewitness, who identified herself as Taye Adeokya, told our source that the victim was not stabbed inside the hotel.

Ten Ways To Avoid Marrying The Wrong Person

There is a right way and a wrong way to get to know someone for marriage. The wrong way is to get caught up in the excitement and nuance of a budding relationship and in the process completely forget to ask the critical questions that help determine compatibility. One of the biggest mistakes that many young Muslims make is rushing into marriage without properly and thoroughly getting to know someone.

A common myth is that the duration of a courtship is an accurate enough measure of how compatible two people are. The logic follows that the longer you speak with someone, the better you will know them. The problem with that premise is that no consideration is given to how that time is spent.

Increasingly, young Muslim couples are engaging in “halal dating,” which is basically socializing with each other in the company of friends and/or family. This includes going out to dinner, watching a movie, playing some sport or other leisure activity, etc. Depending on the family or culture, conversations are either minimal & chaperoned or worse, unrestricted and unsupervised. When you consider these limitations it makes one wonder when exactly, if ever at all, would the critical conversations take place? Unfortunately, for many, the answer is never and they live to suffer the consequences. If you or someone you know is in the “getting to know someone” phase, the following guide offers advice on exactly what to look for and avoid:

1) Do Not Marry Potential:

Often times men consider marrying a woman hoping she never changes while a woman considers marrying a
man she hopes she can change. This is the wrong approach on both accounts. Don’t assume that you can change a person after you’re married to them or that they will reach their potential. There is no guarantee, after all, that those changes will be for the better. In fact, it’s often for the worse. If you can’t accept someone or imagine living with them as they are then don’t marry them. These differences can include a number of things such as ideological or practical differences in religion, habits, hygiene, communication skills, etc.

2) Choose Character over Chemistry:

While chemistry and attraction are no doubt important, character precedes them both. A famous quote follows, “Chemistry ignites the fire, but character keeps it burning.” The idea of falling “in love” should never be the sole reason for marrying someone; it is very easy to confuse infatuation and lust for love. The most important character traits to look for include humility, kindness, responsibility, & happiness. Here’s a breakdown of each trait:

– Humility:
The humble person never makes demands of people but rather always does right by them. They put their values and principles above convenience and comfort. They are slow to anger, are modest, and avoid materialism.

– Kindness:
The kind person is the quintessential giver. They seek to please and minimize the pain of others. To know if a person is a giver, observe how they treat their family, siblings, and parents. Do they have gratitude towards their parents for all that they’ve done for them? If not, then know that they will never appreciate what you do for them. How do they treat people they don’t have to be kind towards (i.e. waiters, sales associates, employees, etc)? How do they spend their money? How do they deal with anger; their own anger and their reaction to someone else’s anger?

– Responsibility:
A responsible person has stability in their finances, relationships, job, and character. You can you rely on this person and trust what they say.

-. Happiness:
A happy person is content with their portion in life. They feel good about themselves and good about their life. They focus on what they have rather than on what they don’t have. They very rarely complain.

3) Do Not Neglect The Emotional Needs of Your Partner:

Both men and women have emotional needs and in order for a partnership to be successful those needs must be mutually met. The fundamental emotional need of a woman is to be loved. The fundamental emotional need of a man is to be respected and appreciated.

To make a woman feel loved give her the three AAAs: Attention, Affection, & Appreciation. To make a man feel loved give him the three RRRs: Respect, Reassurance, & Relief. It is the obligation of each partner to make sure the other is happy and this extends to intimacy as well. As long as each partner is fulfilled by the emotional needs of the other, the intimate relationship will thrive. When a man takes seriously the emotional needs of his wife she will feel more encouraged to fulfill his sexual desires. Likewise, when a woman takes seriously the emotional needs of her husband he will feel more encouraged to give her the affection, love and appreciation she wants from him. Working together in this way encourages both giving and receiving.

4) Avoid Opposing Life Plans:

In marriage you can either grow together or grow apart. Sharing a common purpose in life will increase the chance that you will grow together.

You must know what the person is into. In other words, what are they ultimately passionate about? Then ask yourself, “Do I respect this passion?” “Do I respect what they are into?”
The more specifically you define yourself, i.e., your values, your beliefs, your lifestyle, the better chance you have of finding your life partner, your soul mate, the one you are most compatible with.
Remember, before you decide who to take along on a trip, you should first figure out your destination.

5) Avoid Pre-Marital Sexual/Physical Activity:

Recognize that there is incredible wisdom in why Allah has ordered us to refrain from intimacy before marriage; they are to prevent great harms as well as to keep sacred what is the most blessed part of a relationship between a man and a woman.

Aside from the obvious spiritual consequences, when a relationship gets physical before its time, important issues like character, life philosophy, and compatibility go to the wayside. Consequently, everything is romanticized and it becomes difficult to even remember the important issues let alone talk about them. Intellectual commitment must be established before emotional or sexual commitment.

6) Avoid Lack of Emotional Connection:

There are a number of questions that you must answer YES to:

1, Do I respect and admire this person?
2. What specifically do I respect and admire about this person?
3. Do I trust this person?
4. Can I rely on them? Do I trust their judgment? Do I trust their word? Can I believe what they say?
5. Do I feel Safe? Do I feel emotionally safe with this person? Can I be vulnerable? Can I be myself? Can I be open? Can I express myself?
6. Do I feel calm and at peace with this person?

If the answer is “I don’t know, I’m not sure, etc.” keep evaluating until you know for sure and truly understand how you feel. If you don’t feel safe now, you won’t feel safe when you are married. If you don’t trust now, this won’t change when you are married!

7) Pay Attention to Your Own Emotional Anxiety:

Choosing someone you don’t feel safe with emotionally is not a good recipe for a long-lasting and loving marriage. Feeling emotionally safe is the foundation of a strong and healthy marriage. When you don’t feel safe, you can’t express your feelings and opinions. Learn how to identify whether you are in an abusive relationship. If you feel you always have to monitor what you say, if you are with someone and you feel you can’t really express yourself and are always walking on eggshells, then it’s very likely you are in an abusive relationship. Look for the following things:

– Controlling behavior:
This includes controlling the way you act, the way you think, the way you dress, the way you wear your hair/hijab and the way you spend your time. Know the difference between suggestions and demands. Demands are an expression of control and if the demands are implied, than you must do it or there will be consequences. All of these are clear indications of abusive personalities.

– Anger issues:
This is someone who raises their voice on a regular basis, who is angry, gets angry at you, uses anger against you, uses put downs, and curses at you, etc. You don’t have to put up with this type of treatment. Many people who tolerate this behavior usually come from abusive backgrounds. If this is the case with you or someone you know, get help right away. Deal with those issues before getting married or before even thinking about getting married.

8.) Beware of Lack of Openness In Your Partner:

Many couples make the mistake of not putting everything on the table for discussion from the onset. Ask yourself, “What do I need to know to be absolutely certain I want to marry this person?” “What bothers me about this person or the relationship?” It’s very important to identify what’s bothering you, things that concern you, and things you are afraid to bring up for discussion. Then you must have an honest discussion about them.

This is a great way to test the strength of your relationship. Bringing up issues when there’s conflict is a great opportunity to really evaluate how well you communicate, negotiate, and work together as a team. When people get into power struggles and blame each other, it’s an indication they don’t work well as a team. Also important is being vulnerable around each other. Ask deep questions of each other and see how your partner responds. How do they handle it? Are they defensive? Do they attack? Do they withdraw? Do they get annoyed? Do they blame you? Do they ignore it? Do they hide or rationalize it? Don’t just listen to what they say but watch for how they say it!

9) Beware of Avoiding Personal Responsibility:

It’s very important to remember no one else is responsible for your happiness. Many people make the mistake of thinking someone else will fulfill them and make their life better and that’s their reason for getting married. People fail to realize that if they are unhappy as a single person, they will continue to be miserable when they are married.

If you are currently not happy with yourself, don’t like yourself, don’t like the direction your life is going now, it’s important to take responsibility for that now and work on improving those areas of your life before considering marriage. Don’t bring these issues into your marriage and hope your partner will fix them.

10) Watch Out For Lack of Emotional Health and Availability In Your Potential Partner:

Many people choose partners that are not emotionally healthy or available. One huge problem is when a partner is unable to balance the emotional ties to family members, the marriage ends up having 3 (or more) people in it rather than two. An example of this would be if a man is overly dependent on his mother and brings that relationship into the marriage; this is no doubt a recipe for disaster.

The incident happened at Fakeye Street, off Isuti Road, Egan where the suspect resides with the victim’s parents.
What would have been the attraction for a 24-year-old man to engage a 4-year-old girl in sexual activities was the question on the lips of residents of Egan where the incident happened.

Speaking with reporters, the protesters claimed that beside Sitira, another colleague was killed by suspected ritualists.

They said the mutilated remains of the second sex worker was discovered in a ditch at Olomoore, Abeokuta.

During the procession, about 50 commercial sex workers, plying their trade in Abeokuta, converged on the NUJ secretariat and also at the nearby residence of former Head of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan.

They identified Sitira with different names: Titi and Folake.

Bearing candle sticks, they chanted solidarity slogans and rained curses on the killers of their colleagues.

The sex workers momentarily barricaded the NUJ secretariat and later departed for the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, where they continued their mourning.

They chanted: Oro nla leda, oro nla leda, eyin tepa Titi, t’eje odagba, oro nla leda. Omo yin maku, eeeheee omo yin maku, eyin tepa Titi t’eje odagba, omo yin maku.

It means: You have done something grievous, you have done something grievous. The killers of Titi (Sitira) have done something grievous. Their children will die, their children will die, those that killed Titi will lose their children.

Ado was caught at 5, Erinkitola Street, Idi-Oro, Mushin area where he broke into a fashion designer’s shop and carted away fabrics worth N10,000.

The shop belongs to Mrs Korede Leshi while the fabrics Ado stole belong to her customer, Pastor Fred Kowor of Tabernacle of Faith and Power Ministry.

Lawyer Sues President Buhari Over Failure To Tackle Fuel Shortage

A lawyer and rights activist, Kabir Akingbolu, has filed a suit before a Federal High Court in Lagos against President Muhammadu Buhari over his failure to make adequate provision for the production and supply of petroleum products to all citizens at a regulated price.

Akingbolu, in the fresh suit, which is yet to be assigned to a judge for hearing, also listed the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) as the second defendant.

The lawyer stressed that considering the nature and extent of inconveniences which the citizens of the country were being subjected to by lack of petroleum products, especially the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), the failure of Buhari, as the Chief Executive Officer of the country, to act by making the products sufficiently available, was capable of causing breach of peace and serious discomfort for the citizenry.

The lawyer formulated four questions for the court’s determination and argued that the failure of the president to address the scarcity was a breach of the oath of office which was administered on him on May 29, 2015 and a violation of the clear and unambiguous provisions of Section 130 (1) & (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

The plaintiff is also seeking an order declaring the failure of the defendants (Buhari and AGF) to make available petroleum products as a breach of oath of office, and that the failure to fix the refineries in the country was equally a breach of the constitutional obligation of the president.

He wants an order directing Buhari to make petroleum products available in desirable quantity across the nation, and an order mandating the president to fix and repair all the nation’s refineries to meet the demand of the entire masses.

In an affidavit in support of the suit, Akingbolu, recalled that on or about January 20, 2015, the country started experiencing fuel scarcity in every nook and cranny of all the 36 states and the federal capital, as the nation prepared then for the general elections.

He added that fuel situation then became so severe that the economic activities in Nigeria almost came to a halt, if not for the intervention of some independent marketers that decided to sell the petroleum products to the citizenry though at ridiculous prices.

After the election which Buhari won, the lawyer recalled further that the masses were delighted believing that the hardship of the scarcity of petroleum products would shortly come to an end.

But since Buhari’s swearing in on May 29, the lawyer lamented that fuel scarcity had taken a rather negative toll on the citizenry, with people having to complain bitterly on the stress and hardship they have been going through to get PMS at exorbitant prices.

“The price of PMS is now no longer at N87 per litre at most petrol stations but N110 and above in the country, creating untold hardship on the citizenry as well as the plaintiff who voted for the first defendant (Buhari).

“I know as a fact that very few petrol stations still sell at N87 per litre and it is like going to a battle field before the citizens can get petroleum products.

“I know as a fact that the refineries have deliberately been ignored and left unfixed by the past administrations in Nigeria for their selfish interest of which the current president might follow if not properly cautioned, hence the commencement of this suit.

“If the refineries are fixed and are working in perfect condition, the situation of scarcity of petroleum products would come to an end, and second, the issue of spending huge amounts in the exportation of crude oil to be refined outside the country and subsequently imported back, would come to an end,” Akingbolu stated.

This is more of a hypnotizing charm. The person under the spell doesn't really know what he is doing. It is used in compelling people to do the most impossible things. Things they would naturally not do or refuse to do. It is somewhat difficult to prepare but there are some simple formulas too, however they also vary in degree of potency. The powerful ones that I know has in it as part of its ingredients the rope that a man hanged himself with. To illustrate its power I would narrate an incident that happened which was manipulated by the use of Gbetugbetu. A friend once used it to call a stubborn but pretty lady into his room. (Normally she would have shunned him right off.) When she got inside he commanded her to strip, which she instantly did, but he didn't touch her. 3 days later the girl came to her senses, she confronted my friend and an argument broke out. It was settled but after that incident the girl avoided my friend from then onwards. Moral of story -- You don't play such jokes 'cos you've got the power. Our forefathers used it when they were attacked by a gang of thieves; they just commanded them to fight (each other) or hand over their weapons
